Swimming

Kentucky State Parks are a great destination for swimming! Many parks have swimming pools or sandy beaches waiting for your arrival.  
 

Memorial Day weekend is the official start for swimming season and the opening day for most pools and beaches. Swimming areas are marked and guests are asked to read and follow the safety rules that are posted. Please note that pets are not permitted in beach or pool areas. Community pools that are not associated with a lodge, charge admission fees and are open to anyone. Lake Cumberland and Lake Barkley state resort parks have indoor pools for park lodge and cottage guests.
