Lodging & Camping
Located near Land Between the Lakes, the Lake Barkley lodge provides lake views from the private balconies of most of the 120 rooms and four suites. Rooms are available by late afternoon. Lodge room check-out by 11 a.m. local time. The park also has 13 cottages and is open year-round. There are 79 sites at the campground, which is open seasonally.

Windows on the Water Restaurant
Enjoy gorgeous lakeside scenery while dining in the restaurant. As a supporter of the Kentucky Proud program, we use local meats and produce when available and now serve Kentucky wine and spirits in the restaurant .

Airport

A 4,600 ft. paved, lighted (pilot controlled lighting on 123.0 MHz.) airstrip is located three miles from the lodge. Aviation fuel is not available. Visit airnav.com for FAA information on Lake Barkley State Resort Park Airport.

Things to Do
Biking
Seven miles of trails are open for mountain biking, with many more trails available at nearby Land Between the Lakes.

Birding
More than 200 avian species can be observed or heard in the park. For a list of bird sightings view the eBird species information HERE. 

Boating
Lake Barkley marina is one-half mile from the lodge and offers 150 covered slips, 54 open slips, daily slips, a launching ramp and fishing licenses. Rental information can be found at lakebarkleymarina.com or by calling 270-924-6081. Captain Jim's is adjacent to the marina for a quick bite to eat. Open seasonally.

Fishing
Enjoy hours of fishing for largemouth, white, and Kentucky bass, bluegill, channel catfish and crappie at Lake Barkley. A Kentucky Fishing License is required. Check with the front desk at the park about the fishing loaner program where you can checkout free fishing equipment.

Fitness
The Lake Barkley Fitness Center is an indoor facility equipped with machines, free-weight room, glass racquet ball court, sauna, wet-steam room, heated indoor wellness pool and locker rooms. Monthly and annual memberships are available for purchase. Free for lodge and cottage/cabin guests. Open year-round. Age restrictions apply. Call 270-924-1131 for more information.

Game Room
Video games, pool and ping pong tables, checker tables, and a room full of smiles await you in the lodge’s lower lobby. 

Gift Shop
Our gift shop is lavishly decorated with something for everyone. Many souvenirs depicting the local wildlife, such as deer, horses, raccoons, frogs and hummingbirds are available. Choose from a wide variety of t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, magnets, and postcards.

Golf

Hiking
Enjoy the beauty surrounding Lake Barkley on a hiking trail, providing 9 miles of nature study. Seven miles are open for mountain biking.

Racquetball
Located at the Fitness Center for lodge & cottage guests.

Stables
Closed for season.

Swimming
The public beach, open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, offers a volleyball court, bathhouse, and hours of swimming. The swimming pool is for the exclusive seasonal use of lodge and cottage guests.

Tennis
Enjoy a tennis match on one of two lighted courts near the lodge.

Trap Shooting - Temporarily CLOSED
Test your marksmanship at Lake Barkley’s trap range. Cost is $20.00 per person*, per round of 25 shots. 12-gauge shotguns and clays are included. The charge for clays only is $10.00* per round of 25, but participants must provide own shotgun and stainless steel ammunition. *Price per person for private groups of less than 8 people is $25.00; $15.00 per person for clays only. Supervised trapshooting is seasonal and weather permitting.

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday - 9:30 a.m. (times subject to change without notice) Memorial Day - Labor Day.
Private shoot can be arranged for other days and times by contacting Lake Barkley Recreation at 270-924-1429. Reservations recommended at least two weeks in advance with deposit to secure reservation. Cancellation charge may apply.

Water Aerobics
