Lodging & Camping
Enjoy a good night’s rest in the Louie B. Nunn Lodge, overlooking over the 10,000 acre lake. Lodge rooms have lake facing balconies with patio furniture and wi-fi access. Try out a two bedroom, two bath cabin or upgrade to a villa with a gas fireplace. Accommodations are available by late afternoon. Lodge room check-out is 11 a.m., local time and cottage/villa check-out is 10 a.m. No more than two pets are allowed per room/cottage (CLICK HERE for pet policy information). The campground has 101 sites. Utility hookups are available. A dump station and two central service buildings with showers and restrooms are offered. Driftwood Restaurant
Enjoy gorgeous lakeside scenery while dining in the restaurant. As a supporter of the Kentucky Proud program, we use local meats and produce when available and now serve Kentucky wine and spirits in the restaurant and Highlands Pub. Please call in advance as hours could change do to uncontrollable circumstances.

Meetings and Events
Barren River Lake State Resort Park is located just south east of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Event, meeting, and private party spaces are a great way to connect with nature while working or playing. For information about hosting an event, meeting, wedding or private party click here.
Things to Do
Basketball
A lighted basketball court located by the lodge is a great place to shoot some hoops with an amazing lake overlook just outside the court. A half-court is also available in the campground during camping season. Overnight guests may check out sports equipment at the recreation office in the lodge.
Biking
Bike & Hiking Trail: two-and-one half mile loop, paved, begins at golf course entrance near lodge, restrooms available near Highland Field.
Birding

Boating
Barren River has boat launches available for the public in the campground and a boat launch with a courtesy dock next to the marina. Fishing
Barren River Lake is unsurpassed for fishing pleasure. A Kentucky Fishing License is required. Click here to purchase a license online at KY Dept. of Fish and Wildlife Resources. Don't have fishing equipment? No problem! Ask at the park front desk or recreation office about their fishing loaner program where you can check out FREE equipment.
Gift Shop
For mementos of your visit, browse The Barren Collection gift shop. The shop carries an array of local and Kentucky made crafts and souvenirs, including items for the entire family.
Golf
A fully equipped pro shop, riding carts, and rental clubs are available. 18-hole Golf packages are available. Course open year-round, weather permitting. For course information CLICK HERE or call the pro shop at 1-800-295-1876.
Hiking
Explore the four self-guided trails at the park. The Bicycle & Hiking Trail is a two-and-one half mile, paved loop.
Orienteering
Barren River Lake State Resort Park offers two permanent orienteering courses. A beginners’ course covering 1.6 km featuring 9 controls (check points) and an intermediate course covering 3.9 km featuring 16 controls, both in a wooded setting.
Picnicking
Enjoy an afternoon outdoors with family and friends at one of the 2 uncovered picnic areas or rent one of the seven onsite picnic shelters for a family party. Depending on location, shelters may have access to nearby restrooms, playgrounds, and sports fields.
Playgrounds
There are three playgrounds open year-round on park where kids can run and have fun. There are also 2 seasonal playgrounds at the campground and beach.
Shuffleboard
A shuffleboard court is located near the lodge. Overnight guests may check out equipment at the front desk or recreation office.
