The Kentucky Department of Parks is home to nearly 300 miles of hiking trails at various destinations around Kentucky. Hiking trails and even park roadways provide excellent viewing opportunities for amateur and experienced birders. Whether it’s observing wood warblers in the east or admiring waterfowl in the west, Kentucky State Parks has unique birding opportunities for all our visitors.
