Fishing is a popular activity for people visiting state parks because so many are located alongside a lake or stream. Some parks have loaner programs that offer guests free fishing tackle to use and if you want to get out on the water, plus it’s easy to find a marina that offers boat rentals. Don't forget, Kentucky law requires anyone 16 or older to have a fishing license (Click here).
A special-use permit is required by state law for fishing tournaments held at Kentucky State Parks. For more information on tournament fishing and to download a special-use permit click here.
