Description

John James Audubon State Park is a popular setting for intimate weddings. The beautiful French-Norman style museum adds a fairy tale element to the lush green backdrop of the surrounding nature preserve. The museum’s garden area, at the entrance of the building, offers an expansive grass courtyard outlined with a concrete sidewalk path and enclosed with a 4-foot brick wall. The garden area is adorned with structural boxwoods and blooming annuals and perennials year-round. Inside, the lower level features a reception room that seats 110 and has an attached catering prep kitchen. The room also doubles as an art gallery where exhibits of original oils, watercolors, and pastels from regional artists are rotated on display. The tower of the museum is available for bridal photos as well as the front and back porches for additional bar and dance areas.
