Description

This peaceful setting on the shores of Lake Barkley is historically linked to the author F. Scott Fitzgerald. The property was once the farm of Willis B. Machen, grandfather of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald. It’s not hard to imagine the serene, Gatsby-style era from this park, with idyllic days of playing golf and cruising the lake.

You need imagine no longer; The Cullan at Mineral Mound is a challenging 18-hole, par-72 golf course! The front 9 holes are flanked by lake views and the back 9 holes are situated in a wooded area. A pro shop offers rental carts, clubs and golf merchandise. The park also has a picnic area, a fishing pier and a boat ramp.

Situated along the shores of Lake Barkley, The Cullan at Mineral Mound State Park Golf Course is a great place to spend the day and present a challenge to all level of players. The facility has a magnificent new golf shop that offers scenic views from atop a hill overlooking Lake Barkley. Public boat ramp and picnic areas are available to enjoy a day of relaxation and enjoyment.

Park grounds open year round.
Golf course open year round (closed when below 40 degrees in winter).

Alcohol not purchased at Kentucky State Parks is not allowed by law on our golf courses. Personal coolers—or any type of food or beverage storage device—are not permitted. However, each facility has coolers to use free of charge, including ice. We offer a selection of beverages, snacks, and sandwiches for purchase.
